Why I built Fyntrax.

I've sat across from small business owners who were drowning in spreadsheets. As a CA finalist doing real bookkeeping work, I watched clients struggle between tools that were either too complex or too shallow. QuickBooks felt like it was built for accountants, not the person running the business. FreshBooks looked great but quietly skipped proper accrual accounting. And spreadsheets — everyone's fallback — don't scale, don't catch errors, and don't give you any real financial picture.

So I built Fyntrax myself. I knew exactly what was missing because I'd been doing the work manually for over a year. I wanted full double-entry accrual accounting — the real standard — but with a UI that didn't require a three-day onboarding. I also wanted an AI that actually understood accounting, not just keywords. One that could explain a journal entry, flag something off, or answer a bookkeeping question the way I would. So I built that too.

This is personal for me. I'm not a VC-backed team with a generic mission statement — I'm one person who spent a long time inside the problem before writing a single line of code. Every feature in Fyntrax exists because I either needed it, or watched someone else need it. My goal is simple: make professional-grade accounting accessible to every small business, not just the ones that can afford a full-time accountant.
